CASUAL
adjective
adjective: casual
1. relaxed and unconcerned.
"a casual attitude to life"
synonyms: relaxed, friendly, natural, informal, unceremonious, unpretentious, easy- going, free and easy, uninhibited, open; informal, laid-back.
Often the "casual" zone of our wardrobe consists of out dated, ill-fitting or worn out pieces that we wear around the house when we think no-one is watching and sometimes we slip to the shops or do the school pick-up.
These are not pieces that make us feel confident, so why do we give them precious wardrobe space?
Now it's not necessary to get in and throw everything away but start fresh from now, only buy what you love, clothes that make you feel fabulous!

What do you love? Think about your favourite outfits, the ones that make you feel like you can take on the world, the ones that make you happy, the ones that people always compliment you on.
Often these items are in your best colours and shapes so now, buy only pieces that create that feeling, regardless of when you are going to wear them.
Homework!!!
As a stylist an exercise I often ask my clients to do is to create a scrapbook full of pictures of things you they are attracted too. Clothes, interiors, places, accessories. Pull sheets from magazines or create a Pinterest board. Once you have 15-25 reference images look through them all and see what it is about each one that you like, it could be a certain colour, the way the image or item makes you feel and so on. write these “feeling” words down and use them as a checklist for each item and/or outfit you buy or put together.

Style Words relating to my image pics:
"Luxurious"
"Eclectic"
"Relaxed"
This exercise is a great first step on the way to your "Style Recipe". Size, age and gender certainly don't matter. Casual doesn't have to mean worn out and unflattering...
